1280 × 1024 Thermal Sensor & ≤12mK Sensitivity

The ACE 2 S60R incorporates a third-generation 1280 × 1024 thermal detector with a 12μm pixel pitch, providing 1,310,720 native thermal pixels.

This is four times the native pixel count of a 640 × 512 detector and more than eleven times that of a 384 × 288 sensor.

Its ≤12mK NETD sensitivity helps distinguish extremely small temperature differences under specified test conditions.

The combination of high native resolution and exceptional thermal sensitivity supports detailed observation when subjects and their surroundings have relatively little temperature contrast.

The additional sensor resolution is particularly useful when examining smaller portions of the thermal image at increased magnification.

Actual image quality depends on weather, humidity, subject size, temperature contrast and observation distance.

60mm F1.0 Germanium Objective Lens

The S60R features a large 60mm germanium objective lens with a fast F1.0 aperture.

The objective collects thermal radiation and focuses it onto the high-resolution 1280 × 1024 detector.

Despite its long focal length, the large detector allows the S60R to retain a wide field of view.

This combination is particularly useful for customers who want to scan broad areas while retaining the ability to examine distant thermal subjects in detail.

The centrally positioned focus control allows the image to be adjusted conveniently for different observation distances.

3,100m Thermal Detection Range

NocPix specifies a maximum thermal detection distance of approximately 3,100 metres for the ACE 2 S60R.

This figure is based on the manufacturer's standard reference target under specified test conditions.

Detection means establishing the presence of a thermal target. It does not mean positively identifying a particular subject at the maximum stated distance.

The combination of a 60mm objective and 1280 × 1024 detector provides substantial image information for observation at extended distances.

Actual detection and identification distances depend on subject size, atmospheric humidity, weather and temperature contrast.

The thermal detection distance is separate from the integrated laser rangefinder's maximum measuring distance of 1,200 metres.

Wide Field of View & Magnification

The ACE 2 S60R provides a wide 14.7° × 11.7° angular field of view, equivalent to approximately 25.6 × 20.5 metres at 100 metres.

This is wider than both the ACE 2 H35R and H50R, despite the S60R having the longest objective focal length in the range.

The wider field of view is made possible by the large 1280 × 1024 thermal detector.

This provides a strong combination of surrounding scene awareness and high native thermal detail.

Higher magnification settings allow smaller portions of the thermal image to be examined more closely.

Increasing digital magnification narrows the visible area and does not increase the detector's native resolution.

Selectable 30Hz / 60Hz Refresh Rate

The ACE 2 S60R offers selectable 30Hz and 60Hz operating modes.

The 60Hz mode provides smoother image updates when scanning or observing moving subjects.

The 30Hz mode offers an alternative operating configuration that can be useful when prioritising different viewing or power requirements.

The ability to select between refresh-rate modes provides greater flexibility than a fixed refresh-rate system.

Available modes and behaviour may depend on firmware configuration.

Ocular Zoom 2.0 Hybrid Magnification

Ocular Zoom 2.0 is one of the major improvements introduced with the ACE 2 series.

The system combines eyepiece adjustment with digital magnification, allowing the viewing experience to be changed while maintaining clear presentation of the thermal image and reticle.

NocPix designed the hybrid zoom system to retain useful image detail and provide greater viewing flexibility.

The system is complemented by 60mm eye relief and a 10mm exit pupil for comfortable observation.

Hybrid zoom can be disabled through the device settings if digital-only magnification is preferred.

R+ 2.0 AI Image Processing

The ACE 2 S60R incorporates NocPix's upgraded R+ 2.0 thermal image-processing technology.

This system is designed to improve perceived image clarity, contrast and fine detail while reducing unwanted visual noise.

R+ 2.0 works alongside the high-resolution 1280 × 1024 detector and 60mm F1.0 objective lens to produce a refined thermal image.

The processing can be particularly useful when viewing conditions are challenging or temperature differences are subtle.

Image processing enhances the displayed picture but does not increase the detector's physical resolution.

Dual Clarity Motion & Still Modes

The ACE 2 introduces Dual Clarity Mode, allowing image processing to be adapted to different observation situations.

Motion Mode prioritises smooth image presentation when observing movement, helping reduce visible ghosting and lag.

Still Mode prioritises fine detail, making it useful when examining stationary subjects, vegetation and surrounding terrain.

These selectable modes provide additional flexibility when switching between moving and stationary observation.

Integrated LRF 2.0 Laser Rangefinder

The ACE 2 S60R incorporates NocPix's upgraded LRF 2.0 laser rangefinder with a manufacturer-stated measuring distance of up to 1,200 metres.

The integrated system allows distance information to be obtained directly through the thermal riflescope.

NocPix states that the updated rangefinder provides faster ranging and improved performance compared with the previous ACE generation.

Distance information can also be used by the Ballistic Calculation 2.0 system.

Actual ranging performance depends on target reflectivity, viewing angle, atmospheric conditions and distance.

Ballistic Calculation 2.0

The ACE 2 S60R features NocPix's upgraded Ballistic Calculation 2.0 system.

The system can combine laser-measured distance with configured ballistic information and additional inputs such as inclination and wind drift to calculate an estimated aiming correction.

This provides more comprehensive range-based information than simple distance measurement alone.

Correct zeroing, accurate ballistic information and appropriate verification are essential for meaningful results.

Ballistic calculation is an additional aid rather than a replacement for proper equipment setup and responsible use.

Intelligent Tracking & Central Focus

The ACE 2 platform introduces upgraded tracking features combining laser ranging with electronic orientation information.

These functions are designed to help users retain useful positional information during observation.

The centrally positioned focus wheel allows convenient objective focusing without reaching to the front of the scope.

This arrangement makes it easier to refine the image while maintaining a comfortable viewing position.

2560 × 2560 AMOLED Display

The ACE 2 S60R features a high-resolution 2560 × 2560 AMOLED viewing display.

The display presents the processed thermal image, reticle, laser rangefinder information and device menus.

Its high resolution complements the 1280 × 1024 thermal detector and R+ 2.0 processing system.

The scope also features 60mm eye relief, a 10mm exit pupil and adjustable dioptre settings.

These features are designed to provide comfortable viewing during extended observation sessions.

Dual-Battery Power System & Runtime

The ACE 2 S60R uses a dual-battery system combining a built-in rechargeable battery with an additional removable rechargeable 18650 battery.

The manufacturer's standard ACE 2 package lists two rechargeable 18650 batteries and a compatible battery charger.

This arrangement provides the convenience of an internal power supply together with the ability to replace the removable battery when required.

NocPix specifies a maximum operating time of up to 7 hours under reference test conditions.

Actual runtime depends on ambient temperature, refresh-rate selection, display settings, Wi-Fi, recording and laser rangefinder usage.

USB Type-C connectivity supports charging and compatible external power.

Only use rechargeable batteries meeting the manufacturer's specifications and follow the supplied charging instructions.

64GB Storage, Recording & 5GHz Wi-Fi

The ACE 2 S60R includes 64GB of internal storage for photographs and video recordings.

Recording features include photo capture, video recording, audio recording and recoil-activated video recording.

Picture-in-picture functionality allows an enlarged section of the thermal image to be displayed while retaining a wider view of the surrounding scene.

The upgraded 5GHz Wi-Fi connection supports compatible NocPix app functions, including transferring recordings and supported device management features.

USB Type-C connectivity provides additional charging and supported data-transfer functionality.

Magnesium Alloy Body & IP67 Protection

The ACE 2 S60R features a lightweight magnesium-alloy housing designed to combine durability with reduced overall weight.

The scope weighs under 1kg according to the manufacturer's published specification, depending on battery and accessory configuration.

Its IP67 rating provides protection against dust ingress and temporary water immersion under the conditions specified by the rating.

NocPix specifies recoil resistance up to 7,000 joules and an operating temperature range of -20°C to +50°C.

Correct mounting, suitable battery care and routine maintenance remain important for reliable operation.
