The main difference between BOG DeathGrip and DeadShot products is how they support the firearm.

DeadShot shooting sticks use a rubberised shooting yoke. The rifle rests freely in the yoke rather than being secured in place. This makes the system simple, lightweight and quick to use.

DeathGrip models use padded jaws that clamp around the firearm. This provides significantly more support and allows the firearm to remain held in position without the shooter continually balancing it.

The DeathGrip Infinite is a more sophisticated tripod system. It combines DeathGrip firearm support with an Arca-Swiss quick-release system and an adjustable tripod head.

This makes the Infinite much more suitable if you want to use the same tripod for shooting, glassing and other tripod-mounted equipment.

Both the Sherpa and Infinite sit towards the premium end of the BOG tripod range and offer considerably greater versatility than a basic shooting stick.

DeathGrip Bantam Head
A compact centred DeathGrip clamp designed around an Arca-Swiss tripod connection. It is a useful choice when you already have an Arca-compatible tripod and want a straightforward firearm clamp.

Important: the rifle itself does not necessarily require an Arca rail to use a DeathGrip clamping head. The firearm is held between the padded DeathGrip jaws. The Arca connection relates to how the head attaches to the tripod.

The Great Divide is different from a DeathGrip clamping head.

It is a movable tripod head designed to provide smooth pan and tilt adjustment. This makes it useful when controlled movement of the equipment mounted above the tripod is required.

BOG also offers the Great Divide together with a DeathGrip UltraLite head.

Monopod — the lightest and fastest option. It provides an additional point of support while remaining extremely easy to carry and reposition.

Bipod — adds a second point of ground contact, reducing lateral movement and providing noticeably greater stability without the bulk of a tripod.

A DeathGrip and FieldPod both provide firearm support, but they work in very different ways.

A DeathGrip uses a tripod-mounted clamp to secure the firearm. It is relatively easy to reposition and is well suited to both hunting and pest-control applications.

A FieldPod supports the firearm at both the front and rear, creating a larger and more substantial shooting rest. It is designed primarily around stable seated shooting rather than maximum mobility.

The BOG ChairPod combines a chair with a supported shooting rest, providing front-and-rear firearm support while the shooter remains seated.
