The Hawke Endurance 1000 Laser Range Finder - 6x21 OLED is a compact, high-performance laser range finder designed for shooters and hunters who need fast and accurate distance measurement at extended ranges. Offering a measuring range from 5 to 1000 metres, 6x magnification and accuracy to ±1 metre, the Endurance 1000 provides significantly more ranging capability than the Endurance 700 while remaining compact enough to carry comfortably in the field.
A major advantage of the Endurance range is its bright red illuminated OLED display, which is considerably easier to read against dark or complicated backgrounds than a conventional LCD display. The Endurance 1000 also incorporates Horizontal Distance and Angle measurement alongside Standard, Rain and Hunt modes, making it particularly useful when shooting across sloping or uneven ground.

OLED DISPLAY
One of the main differences between Hawke's Endurance and Vantage range finders is the display. The Endurance 1000 uses a bright red illuminated OLED display rather than the LCD display fitted to the Vantage models.
The OLED display provides excellent visibility against both light and dark backgrounds and offers six brightness settings, allowing the display intensity to be adjusted to suit the surrounding conditions.
RANGING MODES EXPLAINED
Standard: Measures the direct line-of-sight distance between you and the target. Continuous ranging can also be used to update the measurement while scanning.
Horizontal Distance: Uses the measured angle to calculate the horizontal distance to the target, particularly useful when ranging uphill or downhill.
Angle: Displays the angle between the range finder and target, allowing you to see the degree of incline or decline.
Rain: Helps reduce interference caused by rainfall when measuring targets in poor weather conditions.
Hunt: Helps ignore foreground interference such as grass, brush and vegetation when measuring a target beyond it.
HORIZONTAL DISTANCE & ANGLE MEASUREMENT
The Endurance 1000 incorporates an inclinometer that allows it to measure the angle between the shooter and target as well as the direct line-of-sight distance.
Horizontal Distance mode then calculates the horizontal component of the measurement. This is particularly useful when ranging targets uphill or downhill, where the horizontal distance can differ significantly from the direct line-of-sight measurement.
COMPARE HAWKE ENDURANCE RANGE FINDERS
| Model | Optics | Max Range | Display |
|---|---|---|---|
| Endurance 700 | 6x21 | 700m | OLED |
| Endurance 1000 | 6x21 | 1000m | OLED |
| Endurance 1500 | 6x21 | 1500m | OLED |
All three Endurance models share the same core 6x21 optical format, illuminated OLED display and advanced ranging modes. The principal difference between them is maximum ranging distance.
WHICH ENDURANCE MODEL SHOULD I CHOOSE?
Endurance 700: A strong choice for general shooting and hunting where very long-distance ranging is unnecessary.
Endurance 1000: The middle model in the range, providing up to 1000 metres of ranging capability while retaining the same compact 6x21 format and OLED display.
Endurance 1500: The longest-ranging model in the Endurance family, offering up to 1500 metres for users who want maximum ranging capability.
ENDURANCE VS VANTAGE
Hawke Vantage range finders use an LCD display, while the Endurance range uses a red illuminated OLED display designed to remain highly visible across changing backgrounds and light conditions.
The Endurance family consists of 700m, 1000m and 1500m models. The Vantage range provides a more affordable alternative for shooters who do not require the illuminated OLED display.
BATTERY & POWER
The Hawke Endurance 1000 is powered by a single CR2 3V lithium battery. An automatic shut-off function helps conserve battery power when the range finder is left inactive.
