THERMAL SENSOR & IMAGE QUALITY
The QUEST H35R uses a 640×512 thermal sensor with a 12μm pixel pitch and an excellent ≤15mK NETD rating.
High thermal sensitivity allows the H35R to distinguish very small differences in temperature, helping retain detail when there is relatively little thermal contrast between an animal and its surroundings.
This becomes particularly useful in difficult conditions such as damp weather, mist or environments where background temperatures are relatively close to the temperature of the subject.
The 60Hz refresh rate provides smooth movement when scanning quickly or following moving animals, while NocPix R+ image processing and Electronic Image Stabilisation help produce a detailed and stable image.
35MM F0.9 LENS & FIELD OF VIEW
The H35R combines its 640×512 sensor with a fast 35mm F0.9 germanium objective lens.
Its 3× base magnification and 12.5° × 10° field of view provide an observable area of approximately 22 × 18 metres at 100 metres.
This relatively wide field of view is one of the H35R's main advantages. It makes locating heat sources easier and allows more surrounding ground to remain visible while scanning, particularly across woodland edges, mixed terrain and smaller or medium-sized fields.
The fast F0.9 aperture also allows a high level of thermal energy to reach the sensor, complementing the H35R's highly sensitive detector.
1,000M INTEGRATED LASER RANGEFINDER
The QUEST H35R features an integrated concealed laser rangefinder with a manufacturer-stated ranging capability of up to 1,000 metres.
Integrating the LRF directly into the binocular allows distance to be measured without carrying a separate handheld rangefinder or changing devices during observation.
The concealed design also allows the QUEST to retain a clean, conventional binocular-style shape rather than having a large external rangefinding module.
H35R vs H50R vs S50R

| FOV @ 100m | 22 × 18m | 15 × 12m | 30 × 24m |
| Best Suited To | Versatile all-round use | Longer-distance observation | Maximum image quality & wide-area scanning |
H35R: the all-rounder. Its wider field of view makes it particularly effective when regularly moving between different types of terrain.
H50R: uses the same 640×512 sensor but combines it with a longer 50mm lens and higher 4× base magnification, making distant subjects appear larger.
S50R: the flagship model. Its 1280×1024 sensor contains four times the thermal pixel count of the H35R and provides an exceptionally wide 30 × 24m field of view at 100m.
WHY CHOOSE THE QUEST H35R?
The H35R is arguably the sweet spot of the QUEST range for users who need one thermal binocular to perform well across a variety of environments.
It shares the same 640×512 sensor resolution and ≤15mK thermal sensitivity as the H50R, but its shorter 35mm lens provides a significantly wider field of view.
This makes the H35R particularly effective for general scanning where finding the heat source quickly is more important than starting with maximum magnification.
If most of your observation takes place over very large open areas, the higher native magnification of the H50R may be preferable. If you want maximum sensor resolution and the widest possible image, the S50R is the flagship option.
BATTERY & RUNTIME
The QUEST H35R uses a dual-battery system combining a built-in battery with a replaceable rechargeable 18650 battery.
The external 18650 can be replaced in the field while the internal power source maintains operation, allowing battery changes without immediately shutting the binocular down.
NocPix states an operating time of approximately 6 hours for the H35R, although actual runtime can vary depending on temperature, feature usage, display settings and battery condition.
Two rechargeable 18650 batteries and an 18650 battery charger are included with the H35R package.
BUILD QUALITY & WEATHER PROTECTION
The QUEST range uses a traditional binocular-style chassis with a refined full-rubber coating, providing both protection and a secure grip during prolonged handheld use.
The H35R is IP67 rated for protection against water and dust, making it suitable for regular outdoor use in demanding weather conditions.
