The BOG FieldPod Max Adjustable Shooting Rest is designed to bring exceptional firearm stability into the field without relying on a permanent shooting bench. Supporting both the forend and buttstock, the FieldPod Max creates a highly stable shooting platform for hunters and field shooters who want substantially more support than a conventional monopod, bipod or tripod shooting stick.

Built around a lightweight dual-frame aluminium construction, the FieldPod Max provides independent front and rear height adjustment together with independently adjustable legs. Its 20"–48" height range gives the Max additional adjustment over the standard FieldPod and allows the platform to be adapted to different shooters, firearms, terrain and lower shooting positions.

Over-moulded, non-marring front and rear rests support the firearm without damaging its finish, while the adjustable upper-frame balance point helps achieve the correct setup for different rifles, shotguns and crossbows. The dual-frame arrangement also provides clearance for rifles fitted with detachable magazines.

Despite its extensive support, the FieldPod Max still allows controlled aiming and target tracking. The upper assembly provides 360° rotation together with up to 45° of tilt, while an integrated bubble level, independent leg adjustment and screw-out spike feet help establish a level, secure platform on uneven ground.

Front & Rear Firearm Support

The FieldPod Max supports the firearm at both the forend and buttstock rather than relying on a single contact point. This reduces the amount of firearm weight and movement that must be controlled entirely by the shooter and helps create an exceptionally stable field position.

Both contact points are over-moulded and non-marring, providing secure support while helping protect the firearm's finish.

20"–48" Height Adjustment

The BOG FieldPod Max adjusts from approximately 20 inches to 48 inches, providing a wider vertical adjustment range than the standard FieldPod.

Independent front and rear height adjustment allows the shooting platform itself to be fine-tuned, while the individually adjustable tripod legs help compensate for slopes and uneven terrain.

360° Rotation & 45° Tilt

The FieldPod Max combines the stability of a front-and-rear shooting rest with the movement required for practical field shooting.

The upper assembly can rotate through 360°, while a tension control allows up to 45° of tilt. This allows the shooter to alter the point of aim and track across the field without repeatedly moving the complete tripod.

Adjustable Upper Frame

The upper frame can be adjusted for length and balance to accommodate different firearms. This allows the front and rear supports to be positioned correctly for the individual rifle, shotgun or crossbow.

The dual-frame layout also leaves space between the support rails, making the FieldPod Max suitable for rifles fitted with detachable magazines.

Uneven Terrain Setup

Each leg can be adjusted independently, allowing the FieldPod Max to be levelled when shooting from sloping or irregular ground.

An integrated bubble level provides an immediate reference during setup, while screw-out spike feet can provide additional purchase when the rest is being used on softer or rugged terrain.

FieldPod Max vs Standard FieldPod

Both FieldPod models use BOG's front-and-rear support concept, but the FieldPod Max provides a broader 20"–48" vertical adjustment range together with independent front and rear height adjustment.

The Max is designed as the more adaptable option for shooters who want additional adjustment when setting up across different terrain, firearm configurations and field positions.

FieldPod Max vs DeathGrip

The FieldPod Max and DeathGrip provide two very different types of firearm support.

A DeathGrip uses a tripod-mounted clamp around the firearm's forend. This creates a more compact platform and allows the firearm to remain supported hands-free.

The FieldPod Max uses separate front and rear rests to support the firearm at two points. It is a larger system but provides extensive support from an established shooting position.

Choose a DeathGrip when portability and clamping support are the priorities. Choose the FieldPod Max when you want maximum front-and-rear support and extensive field adjustment.
