IS THE BOLT H50R RIGHT FOR ME?
The BOLT H50R is the best choice in the range if your priorities are image detail, detection range and performance at higher magnification.
Its 640×512 sensor is a major step up from the 384×288 L35R and 256×192 P25R, giving it much more thermal information to work with and better retained detail as magnification increases.
If you want the strongest BOLT performance and are happy to pay more for it, the H50R is the obvious choice. If budget matters more than maximum image quality, the L35R remains the better-value middle option.

640×512 SENSOR – WHY DOES IT MATTER?
The H50R's 640×512 thermal detector contains significantly more pixels than the sensors used by the P25R and L35R.
That additional resolution gives the scope more thermal information to work with, improving visible detail and helping retain more useful image information when digital magnification is applied.
This is one of the main reasons the H50R is the premium BOLT model rather than simply a longer-lens version of the lower models.
WHAT DOES ≤18mK NETD MEAN?
NETD measures how effectively a thermal detector can distinguish very small temperature differences. In general, a lower NETD figure indicates greater thermal sensitivity.
The H50R is rated at ≤18mK, compared with ≤20mK on the P25R and L35R. This helps preserve contrast and environmental detail when thermal conditions are less favourable.

MOUNT & TUBE INFORMATION
The NocPix BOLT H50R uses a conventional 30mm scope tube. This means it mounts using suitable 30mm scope rings or a 30mm scope mount.
When selecting a mount, the ring diameter must therefore be 30mm. You will also need to choose a mount suitable for the rail fitted to your rifle and ensure the selected height provides adequate clearance for the 50mm objective housing.
The BOLT P25R, L35R and H50R all use the same conventional 30mm tube-style mounting format.
