The NocPix ACE S60R RM Thermal Imaging Scope with LRF combines the flagship 1280×1024 thermal imaging performance of the original ACE S60R with NocPix's dedicated Rail Mount system. It is designed for users who want exceptional thermal detail, wide-area observation, long-range detection and integrated ranging, but prefer a rigid rail-mounted installation rather than conventional 30mm scope rings.

At its core is a 1280×1024, 12μm thermal detector with ≤15mK NETD sensitivity, paired with a large 60mm F1.0 germanium objective lens. Despite the long focal length, the exceptionally large detector gives the S60R RM a wide 14.7° × 11.7° field of view and 2× base magnification, making it capable of scanning broad areas while still offering a manufacturer-stated thermal detection range of up to 3,100 metres.

The integrated Class 1 laser rangefinder measures distances up to 1,200 metres with ±1m stated accuracy, while ballistic calculation adds range-based aiming support. NocPix's Reality+ image processing, Vision+ viewing system, 2560×2560 AMOLED display, ocular zoom, dual-battery system, 64GB internal storage and recoil-activated recording complete a high-end thermal riflescope platform designed around stability, precise alignment and demanding field use.

1280×1024 Flagship Thermal Sensor

The ACE S60R RM uses NocPix's high-resolution 1280×1024 thermal imaging detector with a 12μm pixel pitch.

A 1280×1024 sensor contains approximately 1.31 million thermal pixels, compared with around 327,000 pixels in a 640×512 detector. In simple terms, the S60R RM captures around four times as many individual thermal data points as a 640-resolution thermal scope.

This additional native resolution provides significantly more scene information before digital enlargement is applied and is particularly valuable when observing smaller or more distant heat sources.

The unusually large detector also enables the S60R RM to retain an exceptionally wide viewing area despite using a long 60mm objective lens.

≤15mK NETD Thermal Sensitivity

The S60R RM's detector is rated at ≤15mK NETD thermal sensitivity.

NETD measures the detector's ability to distinguish very small differences in temperature. Lower NETD values indicate greater sensitivity to subtle temperature variations.

This can help preserve useful detail during difficult thermal conditions such as mild weather, damp air, mist, fog or overcast conditions where the temperature difference between an animal and its surroundings is reduced.

Sensor resolution and NETD should be considered together. The 1280×1024 resolution determines how much spatial information can be captured, while the ≤15mK sensitivity helps distinguish small thermal differences within that image.

60mm F1.0 Lens & 3,100m Detection

The S60R RM uses a large 60mm F1.0 germanium objective lens designed for serious longer-distance thermal observation.

The 60mm focal length provides strong reach, while the huge 1280×1024 sensor prevents the field of view from becoming excessively narrow.

The result is a 14.7° × 11.7° field of view, equivalent to approximately 25.6m × 20.5m at 100 metres.

NocPix specifies a maximum thermal detection range of up to 3,100 metres using a standard 1.7m × 0.5m target at P(n)=99%.

Thermal detection: up to 3,100m

Laser ranging: up to 1,200m

Detection distance is not the same as identification distance. At extreme ranges the scope may establish the presence of a heat source without providing enough detail for positive identification.

2–24× Magnification & Ocular Zoom

The ACE S60R RM starts at just 2× magnification despite using a 60mm objective lens.

This relatively low base magnification is possible because of the large 1280×1024 sensor and is one of the S60R platform's major strengths. It allows a broad area to remain visible while retaining substantial native thermal detail.

The total magnification range extends from 2× to 24×.

NocPix also equips the ACE platform with a 1–3× ocular zoom system, allowing the apparent size of the displayed image to be adjusted at the eyepiece in addition to conventional digital magnification.

Wide 25.6m Field of View at 100m

The S60R RM provides a field of view of 14.7° × 11.7°, corresponding to approximately 25.6m × 20.5m at a distance of 100 metres.

This is unusually wide for a thermal optic using a 60mm objective lens.

The reason is the 1280×1024 detector. Its physically large imaging area allows the 60mm optic to deliver both significant reach and a broad viewing window.

This makes the S60R RM particularly strong for locating animals quickly, following moving targets and maintaining awareness of the surrounding scene.

Integrated 1,200m Laser Rangefinder

The ACE S60R RM incorporates a Class 1 laser rangefinder directly into the optical system.

NocPix specifies a maximum measuring distance of up to 1,200 metres with stated accuracy of ±1 metre.

The integrated arrangement allows the user to observe and measure distance through the same thermal optic rather than switching to a separate handheld rangefinder.

NocPix also emphasises true optical-axis alignment for the ACE RM rangefinder system, helping maintain accurate ranging while retaining the clean profile of the scope.

Laser Rangefinder Integrated
Laser Safety Class Class 1
Maximum Measuring Range Up to 1,200m
Stated Accuracy ±1m
Built-In Ballistic Calculation

The S60R RM supports ballistic calculation using information from the integrated laser rangefinder.

Once the relevant ballistic parameters have been correctly entered, the system can use measured range information as part of its ballistic solution and provide additional aiming information through the display.

Current ACE RM firmware supports ballistic calculation distances up to 1,999 metres.

Ballistic calculation remains an aiming aid and does not replace correct zeroing, verified ammunition data, safe shooting practices or positive target identification.

Why Choose the ACE Rail Mount?

The main difference between the S60R RM and the standard S60R is the mounting architecture.

The standard S60R uses a conventional 30mm scope tube and separate rings. The RM version uses NocPix's dedicated rail-mounted system.

NocPix designed the Rail Mount to improve structural rigidity and remove several variables associated with conventional scope-ring installation.

  • Rigid mounting architecture for long-term stability
  • Reduced risk of scope movement under recoil
  • Eliminates the risk of deforming the scope tube through incorrectly tightened rings
  • Rail-based design simplifies horizontal levelling
  • Extended forward-and-back adjustment makes eye-relief setup easier

For users who specifically value repeatable mounting and straightforward alignment, the Rail Mount is the main reason to choose the RM version over the standard S60R.

Rail Mount & Eye-Relief Adjustment

The dedicated Rail Mount provides additional fore-and-aft positioning flexibility compared with fixed ring positions on a conventional tube.

This makes it easier to move the complete optic forward or backward to achieve the desired eye relief and shooting position.

NocPix also designed the system so that horizontal alignment is inherently controlled by the mounting interface rather than relying entirely on manually rotating a round scope tube within rings.

Mounting system: dedicated NocPix ACE Rail Mount.

Do not order 30mm rings for this version: the RM model does not use the conventional 30mm tube-mount arrangement of the standard S60R.

2560×2560 AMOLED Vision+ Display

The S60R RM uses NocPix's Vision+ viewing system with a high-resolution 2560×2560 AMOLED display.

The very high display resolution helps ensure that the viewing screen does not become a major bottleneck for the information captured by the 1280×1024 thermal detector.

Display Type AMOLED
Display Resolution 2560×2560
Eye Relief 50mm
Exit Pupil 8mm
Dioptre Adjustment -5D to +5D
Reality+ Processing & Shutterless Imaging

NocPix's Reality+ image-processing algorithm is designed to suppress environmental temperature noise and improve thermal contrast and detail presentation.

The original ACE platform also incorporates a shutterless imaging design intended to minimise interruptions during observation.

This is particularly useful when tracking moving animals because periodic calibration interruptions can otherwise temporarily obscure the viewed scene.

The S60R RM operates at a 50Hz refresh rate, providing smooth movement during scanning and observation.

Dual Battery System & 6-Hour Runtime

The S60R RM uses a dual-power arrangement consisting of a built-in rechargeable battery and a removable rechargeable battery.

The integrated battery has a capacity of 4000mAh, while the replaceable battery is an 18650 Li-ion cell.

NocPix specifies up to 6 hours of maximum operating time at 22°C.

Internal Battery Built-in 4000mAh rechargeable battery
Replaceable Battery Rechargeable 18650 Li-ion
Maximum Stated Runtime Up to 6 hours at 22°C
External Power 5V USB Type-C

The removable battery can be replaced during a longer session while the separate internal battery remains available as an additional power source.

Actual runtime varies with ambient temperature and use of features including Wi-Fi, recording and display settings.

64GB Storage, Recording & RAV

The ACE S60R RM includes 64GB of internal memory for thermal photographs and video.

Audio recording is also supported through the built-in microphone.

Recoil Activated Video allows the optic to automatically save footage associated with a detected shot rather than requiring the user to manually start every recording beforehand.

A built-in Gallery allows captured media to be reviewed through the scope, while Wi-Fi connectivity supports compatible NocPix app functions.

6,000J Recoil Resistance & IP67 Protection

The S60R RM is engineered as a dedicated weapon-mounted thermal sight and NocPix specifies recoil resistance of up to 6,000 joules.

The device carries an IP67 ingress-protection rating and has a specified operating-temperature range of -20°C to +50°C.

Ingress Protection IP67

S60R RM vs Standard S60R

The S60R RM and standard S60R use essentially the same flagship thermal imaging platform. The major difference is how the scope attaches to the rifle.

ACE S60R 1280×1024 | 60mm F1.0 | 1,200m LRF | conventional 30mm tube
ACE S60R RM 1280×1024 | 60mm F1.0 | 1,200m LRF | dedicated Rail Mount

Thermal image quality, lens specification, field of view, magnification, rangefinder performance and detection capability are fundamentally the same.

Choose standard S60R: if you prefer traditional 30mm scope rings and want freedom to choose ring height and mounting hardware.

Choose S60R RM: if you want a dedicated rigid mounting interface, easier horizontal alignment and more fore/aft adjustment.

S60R RM vs H50R RM

The S60R RM and H50R RM share the same Rail Mount concept, integrated 1,200m laser ranging and original-generation ACE feature set, but their thermal sensors and optics are very different.

ACE H50R RM 640×512 | ≤15mK | 50mm F0.9 | 3–24× | 2,600m detection
ACE S60R RM 1280×1024 | ≤15mK | 60mm F1.0 | 2–24× | 3,100m detection

The S60R RM captures around four times as many thermal pixels as the H50R RM and also provides a substantially wider field of view despite its larger 60mm objective.

Choose H50R RM: if you want premium 640-resolution ACE performance with Rail Mount at a lower price.

Choose S60R RM: if maximum native thermal resolution and flagship image quality are the priorities.

S60R RM vs ACE 2 S60R

The S60R RM belongs to the original ACE generation. ACE 2 is the newer-generation platform and should be considered a separate product family.

ACE S60R RM 1280×1024 | ≤15mK | 50Hz | 60mm F1.0 | Rail Mount
ACE 2 S60R 1280×1024 | ≤12mK | 30/60Hz | 60mm F1.0 | next-generation platform

ACE 2 improves thermal sensitivity to ≤12mK and introduces newer image processing and platform features.

The original S60R RM remains attractive for users who specifically want the dedicated Rail Mount architecture and where its price represents a worthwhile saving against the newer generation.
