The NocPix ACE S60R RM Thermal Imaging Scope with LRF combines the flagship 1280 × 1024 thermal imaging performance of the ACE S60R with NocPix's dedicated Rail Mount (RM) configuration. Designed for customers who demand exceptional thermal detail, wide-area observation, long-range detection and integrated distance measurement, it offers premium thermal imaging performance in a purpose-built rail-mounted format.

At its core is a 1280 × 1024, 12μm thermal detector with ≤15mK NETD sensitivity, paired with a large 60mm F1.0 germanium objective lens. Despite its long focal length, the high-resolution sensor provides a wide 14.7° × 11.7° field of view and 2× base magnification, making the S60R RM capable of scanning broad areas while still offering a manufacturer-stated thermal detection range of up to 3,100 metres.

The integrated Class 1 laser rangefinder measures distances up to 1,200 metres with ±1 metre stated accuracy, while ballistic calculation adds range-based aiming support. NocPix's Reality+ image processing, Vision+ viewing system, 2560 × 2560 AMOLED display, ocular zoom, dual-battery system, 64GB internal storage and recoil-activated recording complete a premium thermal riflescope platform.

The RM designation refers specifically to the mounting arrangement. Unlike the conventional 30mm tube-mounted ACE S60R, this version uses a dedicated rail-mounting interface and does not require standard 30mm scope rings.

30mm Tube vs Rail Mount (RM) Explained

The NocPix ACE S60R is available in different mounting configurations. The standard ACE S60R uses a conventional 30mm riflescope tube, allowing it to be fitted with suitable 30mm scope rings.

This ACE S60R RM version is the Rail Mount model. It uses a dedicated rail-mounting interface rather than conventional 30mm mounting rings.

The RM designation refers to the mounting configuration, not a different thermal sensor or lens. Both configurations retain the flagship 1280 × 1024 thermal detector, 60mm F1.0 objective lens and integrated laser rangefinder.

The RM version should not be confused with a standard tube-mounted scope fitted with a separate pair of 30mm rings.

  • Standard ACE S60R: conventional 30mm tube mounting
  • ACE S60R RM: dedicated rail-mounting configuration
  • Conventional 30mm rings required for RM: no
  • Thermal sensor: identical 1280 × 1024 resolution
  • Objective lens: identical 60mm F1.0 specification
  • Integrated laser rangefinder: included on both S60R versions

Before ordering, ensure that the rail-mounting arrangement is compatible with your rifle and intended mounting system. The standard 30mm ACE S60R is the appropriate choice if you specifically require conventional 30mm scope rings.

If you are unsure which mounting version you need, contact Bamfords Online before ordering.

1280 × 1024 Thermal Sensor & ≤15mK Sensitivity

The ACE S60R RM incorporates a high-resolution 1280 × 1024 thermal detector with a 12μm pixel pitch, providing 1,310,720 native thermal pixels.

This represents four times the native thermal pixel count of a 640 × 512 detector and more than eleven times that of a 384 × 288 sensor.

Its ≤15mK NETD sensitivity helps distinguish very small temperature differences under specified test conditions, supporting detailed thermal observation when the temperature contrast between a subject and its surroundings is limited.

The high native resolution provides substantial image information for observation and digital magnification, helping retain visible detail when examining smaller sections of the image.

The 50Hz refresh rate supports smooth image updates during observation and movement.

Actual image performance depends on environmental conditions, temperature contrast, atmospheric humidity, subject size and observation distance.

60mm F1.0 Germanium Objective Lens

The S60R RM features a large 60mm germanium objective lens with a fast F1.0 aperture.

The objective collects thermal radiation and focuses it onto the high-resolution detector, supporting detailed observation across extended distances.

Despite the long focal length, the 1280 × 1024 detector allows the scope to retain a wide field of view and relatively low starting magnification.

This combination is particularly useful for customers who want to scan broad areas without sacrificing the ability to examine distant thermal subjects.

Manual objective focusing allows the thermal image to be refined for different observation distances.

3,100m Thermal Detection Range

NocPix specifies a maximum thermal detection distance of approximately 3,100 metres for the ACE S60R RM.

This figure is based on the manufacturer's standard reference target under specified test conditions.

Detection means establishing the presence of a thermal target. It does not mean positively identifying a particular subject at the maximum stated distance.

The high-resolution sensor provides additional image detail that can be useful when examining distant thermal subjects.

Actual detection and identification distances depend on target size, temperature contrast, humidity, weather and atmospheric conditions.

The thermal detection distance is separate from the integrated laser rangefinder's maximum measuring distance of 1,200 metres.

2–24× Magnification & Wide Field of View

The ACE S60R RM provides a magnification range of 2–24×.

Its angular field of view is 14.7° × 11.7°, equivalent to approximately 25.8 × 20.5 metres at 100 metres.

The 2× starting magnification provides an unusually wide viewing area for a thermal riflescope with a 60mm objective lens.

This allows users to observe larger sections of the surrounding environment before increasing magnification to examine a smaller area.

The scope includes ocular zoom adjustment for convenient control of the displayed image.

Increasing digital magnification narrows the visible area and does not increase the detector's native resolution.

Integrated 1,200m Laser Rangefinder

The ACE S60R RM incorporates an integrated Class 1 laser rangefinder capable of measuring distances up to 1,200 metres under suitable conditions.

The manufacturer's stated ranging accuracy is approximately ±1 metre.

Distance information is displayed within the thermal image, reducing the need for a separate handheld rangefinder.

The integrated LRF also supplies distance information to the scope's ballistic calculation system.

Actual ranging performance depends on target reflectivity, viewing angle, atmospheric conditions and distance.

Built-In Ballistic Calculation

The ACE S60R RM includes ballistic calculation functionality designed to work alongside its integrated laser rangefinder.

When appropriate ballistic information has been configured, the system can use measured distance to calculate an estimated aiming correction.

Correct zeroing, accurate ballistic information and appropriate verification are essential for meaningful results.

Ballistic calculation provides additional information rather than replacing proper equipment setup and responsible use.

Reality+ Image Processing

NocPix Reality+ image processing technology is designed to enhance the presentation of thermal image detail and contrast.

It works alongside the native 1280 × 1024 detector to produce a detailed image with improved perceived definition.

Reality+ processing can help users distinguish thermal subjects from surrounding terrain, particularly when viewing conditions are challenging.

Image processing does not change the detector's physical resolution.

Vision+ Viewing System & AMOLED Display

The ACE S60R RM features NocPix's Vision+ viewing system with a high-resolution 2560 × 2560 AMOLED display.

The viewing system is designed to provide an immersive thermal image with detailed presentation of the processed sensor information.

The high-resolution display complements the 1280 × 1024 thermal detector, allowing fine thermal detail to be viewed clearly.

The scope provides adjustable eyepiece settings and ocular zoom functionality for comfortable observation.

The display also presents reticle, rangefinder, ballistic calculation and menu information.

Dual-Battery Power System

The ACE S60R RM uses NocPix's dual-battery power system, combining a built-in 4,000mAh rechargeable battery with an additional removable rechargeable 18650 battery.

This arrangement provides the convenience of an internal power supply while allowing the removable battery to be replaced when required.

The manufacturer's standard ACE accessory package includes rechargeable 18650 batteries and a compatible battery charger.

Operating time depends on ambient temperature, display settings, recording, Wi-Fi and laser rangefinder usage.

The scope also supports compatible external power through its USB Type-C connection.

Only use rechargeable batteries meeting the manufacturer's specifications and follow the supplied charging instructions.

64GB Storage, Recording & Connectivity

The ACE S60R RM includes 64GB of internal storage for photographs and video recordings.

Recording functions include photo capture, video recording, audio recording and recoil-activated video recording.

Picture-in-picture functionality allows an enlarged section of the thermal image to be displayed while retaining a wider view of the surrounding scene.

Built-in Wi-Fi supports communication with compatible mobile devices and NocPix app functions.

USB Type-C connectivity provides supported charging and data-transfer functionality.

Thermal Colour Palettes & Image Adjustment

The ACE S60R RM offers selectable thermal colour palettes, allowing the appearance of the thermal image to be adjusted according to viewing conditions and personal preference.

Different palettes can help highlight temperature differences, subject outlines and surrounding terrain.

Additional image adjustment functions allow the displayed thermal picture to be refined for different observation environments.

The high-resolution detector and Reality+ processing work together to provide detailed image presentation.

IP67 Protection & Rugged Construction

The ACE S60R RM features a rugged housing designed for demanding outdoor use.

Its IP67 rating provides protection against dust ingress and temporary water immersion under the conditions specified by the rating.

NocPix specifies recoil resistance up to 6,000 joules for the ACE platform.

The dedicated RM configuration provides an alternative mounting arrangement for customers who prefer a rail-mounted design rather than conventional 30mm scope rings.

Correct mounting, suitable battery care and routine maintenance remain important for reliable operation.
