The NocPix OMNI H35R Multispectral Binoculars with LRF combine two advanced imaging systems in one device: a high-resolution 640×512 thermal channel for rapid heat detection and an 8K digital day and night vision channel for detailed visual identification. This makes the OMNI far more than a conventional thermal binocular, allowing the user to switch imaging technology to suit the subject, distance, light level and surrounding conditions.
The H35R is the higher-performance thermal model in the OMNI range, combining a 640×512, 12μm detector with ≤15mK thermal sensitivity and a fast 35mm F0.9 germanium objective. Alongside this sits an 8K digital sensor with a dedicated 50mm F1.8 objective, interchangeable 850nm and 940nm IR illumination, integrated laser rangefinding, ballistic calculation, Electronic Image Stabilisation and advanced connectivity.

THERMAL + 8K DIGITAL MULTISPECTRAL IMAGING
The major advantage of the OMNI H35R is that it combines thermal imaging and high-resolution digital imaging within one binocular.
Thermal imaging is extremely effective for detection because it reveals differences in heat rather than relying on visible light. This allows animals and other heat sources to be located in daylight, darkness and difficult visual conditions.
The 8K digital channel serves a different purpose. When sufficient visible or infrared illumination is available, it provides a detailed conventional image that can help with visual identification and observation.
Instead of choosing between carrying a thermal binocular and a digital day/night binocular, OMNI gives you access to both imaging technologies from a single device.
640×512 THERMAL SENSOR
The H35R is the higher-resolution thermal model in the OMNI family, using a 640×512 sensor with a 12μm pixel pitch.
This gives the detector 327,680 individual thermal pixels, providing substantially more thermal image information than the 384×288 detector used in the OMNI L19R.
The sensor also achieves ≤15mK NETD thermal sensitivity, allowing it to distinguish very small temperature differences and retain detail when thermal contrast is limited.
For users who expect to rely heavily on the thermal channel, particularly at greater distances, the H35R is the stronger of the two OMNI models.
35MM F0.9 THERMAL LENS & FIELD OF VIEW
The thermal channel combines the 640×512 detector with a fast 35mm F0.9 germanium objective lens.
At its native 2× magnification, the H35R provides a 13.8° × 10.4° thermal field of view, equivalent to approximately 24.3 × 18.2 metres at 100 metres.
This provides a useful balance between image scale and wide-area awareness, making the thermal channel effective for locating heat sources across mixed terrain.
Thermal magnification extends from 2× to 16× when closer inspection of a distant subject is required.
8K DIGITAL DAY & NIGHT VISION
Alongside the thermal detector, the OMNI H35R incorporates an 8K digital imaging sensor with its own dedicated 50mm F1.8 objective lens.
The high-resolution digital system is designed to provide substantially greater visual detail than the thermal channel when lighting conditions allow.
Digital magnification ranges from 3× to 18×, with a field of view of 8.8° × 6.6°, equivalent to approximately 15.4 × 11.5 metres at 100 metres.
During daylight the digital channel can provide a detailed conventional view. As ambient light falls, the supplied infrared illuminators allow the same digital channel to continue operating as a night vision system.
850NM & 940NM IR ILLUMINATORS
The OMNI H35R is supplied with both 850nm and 940nm interchangeable infrared illuminators for use with its digital night vision channel.
850nm: generally provides stronger illumination and greater usable digital night vision range where maximum performance is the priority.
940nm: produces substantially less visible red glow at the illuminator, making it the more discreet option when minimising visible signature is important.
Because both illuminators are supplied, the user can choose the most appropriate wavelength for the situation rather than being permanently restricted to one IR system.
THERMAL DETECTION vs DIGITAL IDENTIFICATION
Thermal and digital imaging complement one another rather than performing exactly the same task.
Thermal: excels at locating heat sources quickly and does not require visible or infrared light. This makes it extremely effective for initial detection, particularly in darkness or visually difficult environments.
Digital: produces a more conventional visual image and can reveal visual characteristics that thermal imaging cannot reproduce in the same way.
A practical OMNI workflow is therefore to locate a subject using the thermal channel and switch to the 8K digital channel when additional visual information is useful.
1,000M LASER RANGEFINDER & BALLISTIC CALCULATION
The OMNI H35R incorporates an integrated laser rangefinder capable of measuring distances up to approximately 1,000 metres.
Distance information can be obtained without putting down the binocular or switching to a separate handheld rangefinder, making it easier to maintain observation of the subject.
The OMNI platform also incorporates ballistic calculation functionality, allowing range information to be used alongside supported ballistic data.
OMNI H35R vs OMNI L19R

| Thermal Magnification | 1.5–12× | 2–16× |
| Thermal FOV @ 100m | 21.9 × 16.5m | 24.3 × 18.2m |
| Digital Sensor | 8K | 8K |
| Digital Lens | 50mm F1.8 | 50mm F1.8 |
| Digital Magnification | 3–18× | 3–18× |
| Integrated LRF | Yes | Yes |
| Best Suited To | Value / general multispectral use | Higher thermal performance |
Both OMNI models share the same core multispectral concept, including the 8K digital imaging system, 50mm F1.8 digital objective, integrated rangefinding and advanced connectivity.
The important difference is the thermal system.
The L19R uses a 384×288 detector containing 110,592 thermal pixels, whereas the H35R uses a 640×512 detector containing 327,680 thermal pixels – almost three times as many.
The H35R also moves from a 19mm to a 35mm thermal objective, making it the stronger choice for users who place greater importance on thermal image quality and observation at distance.
OMNI vs QUEST – WHICH SHOULD I CHOOSE?
The fundamental difference between OMNI and QUEST is the type of observation each range is designed around.
OMNI: is the more versatile multispectral platform. It combines thermal detection with an 8K digital day/night imaging system, allowing one binocular to cover thermal, daylight digital and IR-assisted night vision.
QUEST: is a dedicated thermal binocular platform. If your priority is specialist thermal observation and you do not need a separate high-resolution digital imaging channel, QUEST is the more focused option.
Choose OMNI when the ability to move between thermal detection and detailed digital observation is important. Choose QUEST when dedicated thermal performance is the overriding priority.
ELECTRONIC IMAGE STABILISATION & ZOOM CONTROL
The OMNI H35R incorporates Electronic Image Stabilisation to help reduce the visible effects of natural hand movement during handheld observation.
This becomes increasingly useful as magnification rises, where even relatively small movements would otherwise become more obvious in the image.
The OMNI also uses a dedicated digital zoom ring and supports fine 0.5× zoom adjustment, allowing magnification to be changed progressively rather than forcing the user to jump between large preset zoom levels.
DISPLAY & BINOCULAR VIEWING
The OMNI is designed around a conventional binocular-style viewing position rather than a single monocular eyepiece.
Its high-resolution 1920×1200 AMOLED viewing system provides the interface for both thermal and digital channels, allowing the user to move between imaging modes without changing devices.
The binocular configuration is particularly useful during longer scanning sessions, providing a natural two-eye viewing position for extended observation.
RECORDING, 64GB STORAGE & CONNECTIVITY
The OMNI H35R incorporates 64GB of internal memory and supports photo, video and audio recording, allowing observations to be captured directly on the binocular.
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and N-Link connectivity provide access to compatible connected features and the wider NocPix ecosystem.
This allows OMNI to function not only as an observation device but also as a platform for recording, reviewing and sharing captured imagery.
18650 BATTERY SYSTEM
The OMNI H35R uses a replaceable rechargeable 18650 battery system, with two 18650 batteries supplied in the box.
The battery compartment uses a polarity-free design, meaning the replaceable battery can be inserted without needing to identify the positive and negative orientation first. This is particularly useful when changing batteries in darkness.
A dedicated 18650 battery charger is also included, allowing the supplied spare batteries to be charged externally.
TRIPOD MOUNTING
The OMNI H35R incorporates a standard ¼-20 UNC tripod mounting thread.
This allows the binocular to be mounted securely to a compatible tripod or support, which can be useful for prolonged observation from a fixed position and when additional image stability is required.
